The Commercial District Manager is a key sales manager who is responsible for achieving team sales goals within their district. The CDM must develop plans and budgets based off of the Regional District Sales Director s sales strategies to achieve goals of increasing HVAC product sales.
The CDM is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the field sales organization. The CDM works with the District Sales team to review sales agreements to either approve or reject them based on factors such as profitability. They may be involved in selling responsibility in key accounts, handling customer issues or roadblocks, and providing guidance to be competitive in the marketplace. Additionally, the CDM is responsible for setting pricing practices for both commercial and residential district sales efforts regarding commercial product and recommending proper inventory levels for the CLDCs and LPP stores within their respective district. The CDM coaches and mentors sales representatives to achieve sales goals while practicing margin control.
